In 2002, Irish actress Nora-Jane Noone made her film debut in the breakthrough role of Bernadette Harvey in The Magdalene Sisters.  A heart wrenching drama, the movie was largely inspired by real life events within the Magdalene asylums of the Roman Catholic Church in Ireland.  Nora-Jane stars in the film alongside fellow Irish actresses Anne-Marie Duff, Dorothy Duffy and Eileen Walsh.  In 2004, the budding starlet took on roles in Ella Enchanted, as well as short films News for the Church and The Listener.  Nora-Jane continues to capture audiences with her performance as Holly Mills in British horror film, The Descent.  Something of a recent cult classic, The Descent, which premiered in the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, consistently ranks high among top horror movies to watch on streaming platforms like Shudder and Netflix.  In 2009, Nora-Jane reprised her role as Holly in The Descent Part 2, which she makes a brief appearance in.  The creative is best known for her appearances in films like My Sailor, My Love, Wildfire, Brooklyn and Doomsday.  But her full filmography catalog also includes roles that she has played in Speed Dating, Beyond the Rave, Stranded, The Bus Driver, Through the Night, Savage, Small Change, January, Mixed Marriage, Wasted, Taking the Boat, Deception, Brand New-U, Estranged, 12 Feet Deep, The Capture, Darlin’ and I Hate The Man In My Basement.

Nora-Jane Noone has appeared on screen in numerous TV shows over the years.  Most recently, her fans have enjoyed her role as Dr. Karen Newton in the 2022 British cold war era themed spy thriller mini series, The Ipcress File starring Joe Cole, Lucy Boynton and Tom Hollander.  Although she is primarily acquainted with British and European audiences, Nora-Jane has recently become more popular with American audiences.  In 2005, Nora-Jane appeared in 9 episodes of Coronation Street as Louise Hazel and 1 episode of Holby City.  She has also appeared in Afterlife, The Day of the Triffids, Jack Taylor, The Runaway, Garrow’s Law and Atlantis.  She has reprised her role as Garda Kate Noonan in a string of Jack Taylor TV movies, including: The Pikemen, The Magdalen Martyrs, The Dramatist, Priest and Shot Down.
